We were really busy this past December and it was great to see a lot of you this Holiday.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a Happy and Healthy New Year

Our Winter Tea Tasting is Sunday, January 20th at 2:00 pm
we will serve about seven different teas and tell about them along with light refreshments and we will provide samples for you to take home.

We have also started the new addition to the Pleasures and Treasures of Taking Tea at Miss Mables Cookbook.
Each month we will have the Menu along with the new recipes to add to your Miss Mables Cookbook.
This will just be the new recipes we will not repeat the ones already in the cookbook but we will tell you what page they are on.

For instance you will get the recipe for Apple Oatmeal Scones, Maple Cream, Miss Mables Club, French Onion Soup,
Spicy Pimento Cheese, Tomato Pie tart, Coconut Pecan Dream Bars, Cherry Cups and the Lemon Souffle` but the
Cucumber Tea Sandwiches are on page 3 of the Cookbook, We still have the cookbooks for sale.

Mention the newsletter and the recipes each month will be $2.00 each set when you purchase a Full Afternoon Tea and $3.00 a set without a Full Afternoon Tea.


We are still serving Dinner and Buffet every Friday and Saturday night starting at 5:30 till 8:00.
The menu changes each week so check our web site http://www.missmable.com/ under dinner menu or call us and we will be glad to tell you what we will be serving that night.

Since we are getting busier for lunch and dinners we are going to fade out some our gifts so we can have room for more guests down stairs.
So for the month of January all gift items are 10% off and Christmas 50% off.
Plus we still have our garage full of gift items that we are closing out and they are 50 to 75 % off.
This sale is for Miss Mable's and Mrs. Potts' only.

At Granny B's Quilt Shop:
We have started two new blocks of the month:
1) is the first Saturday of each month and it is called the "Ramblin Rose". This is an advance class and you will learn different techniques such as cutting with templates by Marti Mitchell. This was the Shop Hop Quilt from last fall and if you have your blocks then all we ask is to purchase the finishing kits from us. This quilt celebrates the anniversary of 'Jamestown 'in Virginia and tells a story. The morning class is full but we are offering an afternoon class and there is still space and if you pay in advance the price is just $10.00 per class.

2) Block of the month is the 'Underground Railroad' this is a beginner to advance class and again you will learn many techniques and patterns like shoo fly, bow tie and many more. This is a beautiful quilt and tells the story of the Underground Railroad, something to cherish for many years. This class starts January 12th and if you pay in advance the price is just $10.00 per class.

We still have a few more spaces for the Winter Song Wall Hanging. This is four beautiful Red birds perched on a branch. There is still space for this class and the date is Saturday January 26th, at 10:00am this is a one day class and you will learn to trace on bonding material before you machine applique` the embellishments and rotary cut your blocks and piece them. This class is $15.00 plus supplies.

These classes are taught by Elva Gentry and after the block of the month class she will show beginning basics #101 and teach how to use some our notions and rulers.
This is Free to anyone that would like to come in every 1st and 2nd Saturday of the month around 1:00 pm. Come and join us.

Next we have a talented lady Amy Swabe who is going to teach how to 'Make your quilt sing with Color'
Come in on Friday January 25th and learn about colors and the color wheel.
This starts at 10:30 it will take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and the class is Free

Amy will also teach "Tumbling Blocks" in February come in and see her technique on cutting the blocks.

Don't forget Mrs. Potts' Playhouse:
On January 12th we are going to have 'Tea with the Queen' this is for ages 6 and up
Learn what you need to know when the Queen comes to your house for tea.
This is at 11:00 and the price is $15.00 per person

February 9th and 16th is our Father Daughter Princess Tea on the 9th it is 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 and on the 16th it is 11:00 and 1:00
Price is $25.00 per couple and $15.00 for each additional person.
