The Sumner County Board of Education will meet in regular session on Tuesday, October 21st at 7 PM in the District Office Board Room, 695 E. Main Street in Gallatin.
Among the items on the agenda:
o Consideration of facility use request for Merrol Hyde Magnet School from Middle Tennessee Super F League
o Consideration of utility bids for Drakes Creek Middle School
o Consideration of payment for paving GHS and BHS parking lots from Capital Outlay Funds
o Request for release of retainage on Portland High School addition
o Consideration of the adoption of a Modified Calendar format for Sumner County Schools
o Consideration of recommendation to change custodial supply vendors
o Consideration of Textbooks Adoption Committee
o Consideration of request to build softball storage facility at Westmoreland High School
o Consideration of request from Westmoreland High School to request funds from the County Commission
With regards to the modified calendar, if the school board votes to approve the modified calendar format this Tuesday night, then the calendaring committee will come back to the regularly scheduled November board meeting with 2-3 different calendars for 2009-2010 from which the school board will select one.
